An antique 19th century French desk clock in a Japonisme style. The round case Is made of gilded bronze and alabaster painted to resemble onyx stone, adorned with beautifully detailed bronze iris flowers and centred by a circular dial with Roman numerals and reed-shaped hands. Raised on four feet modeled as bamboo stems, also adorned with a composition of ormolu bamboo stems on top. Unmarked.
