Lot 0172: RARE WWII NAZI GERMAN DAGGER AWARDS PAINTING AND FHOTO

A very rare lot with Nazi German Navy Kriegsmarine dagger dirk and personal awards for admiral Arthur Ulbricht 1914 to 1918 and 1939 to 1940 time of his service. With photographs depicting the admiral wearing a dagger with his family members. The portrait photo is framed and has a gallery sticker on the back along with hand written text. This lot also includes a framed and signed painting of his father who was a military commander in the Imperial German Army and later became a politician during King Wilhelm II's time. The painting is an oil on board signed by the artist. The verso has a sticker with an oval stamp. The dagger is a second Model German Navy Kriegsmarine by Eickhorn Solengin with double sided engraved blade with anchor and various ornament decorations. The blade has a stamp Original Eickhorn Solengin depicting a squirrel. To detach dagger from scabbard you have to press the button on the crossguard of the handle. The top pommel with eagle has gold plated swastika crossguard on the handle depicting 2 gold plated anchors on both sides. In superb condition. No dents or repairs. The rings on the scabbard are uncut solid circles. Scabbard has few minor dents on the surface and tip. The dagger has original war time issued pummel in silver embroidered oak. Awards from this lot are framed under glass and iron cross second class WWI also WWI issued wounds belt type pin back with M 1914 Helmet and 2 crossed swords. Iron cross has 2 ribbon bars worn on uniform. It has a red cross badge and oak leaf badge in silver. Has brass plaque with name and date. Frame is old vintage gold colored. Very good collectors condition according to its age. Nice addition to any advanced nautical marine and navy collection.
