An antique Imperial Russian helmet, Tatar-Circassian helmet for the ceremonial uniform of the officers of His Imperial Majestys Own Convoy. Ca. 1796. Stainless steel, silver, garnished with engraving, gilding, niello, and chainmail weaving. Produced in Tula. Hallmark of 84 silver standard. The piece comes in a display case with a glass dome. The lot also features a book titled Arms and Armor of Caucasus by Kirill Rivkin. A similar helmet from the State Hermitage Museum is pictured on page 154.
