A lot of two vintage Chinese Mao Zedong enamel pin badges. Circa 1950s to 1970s. Both round badges depict a relief portrait of Chairman Maos head on a red enamel background. The badges differ in size. One badge shows Mao in a headdress towering over the people greeting him. The second badge shows flowering branches beneath the portrait of the chairman. Inscribed and marked in Chinese on the back side. Mao Zedong, 1893 to 1976, also known as Chairman Mao, was a Chinese politician, revolutionary, and political theorist who founded the Peoples Republic of China, PRC and led the country from its establishment in 1949 until his death in 1976. His theories, which he advocated as a Chinese adaptation of Marxism Leninism, are known as Mao Zedong Thought or Maoism.
