On a black enamel background it depicted the crown of the Russian Empire and it is written: For Service and Bravery. Hallmarked on the bottom with an 84 silver standard and other Russian hallmarks. The Order of Saint George is the highest military decoration of the Russian Federation. It was originally established on 26 November 1769 as the highest military decoration of the Russian Empire for commissioned officers and generals by Empress Catherine the Great.
