The ware is adorned with a sculptural handle, shaped like a mythical creature, probably a merman, engraved with detailed patterns. The body of the jar is adorned with intricate hand painted scenes, depicting pastoral landscapes and charming figures engaged in everyday life, framed by lavish gold accents, and a foliage motif on the blue ground, on the sides. The jars tapered pedestal base is also embellished with ornate details. The jars lid, subtly domed and topped with a golden finial.
