A Russian Soviet naval dirk dagger, an element of the dress uniform of naval officers in the Soviet Union, 1978. The edged steel blade numbered at the ricasso. The crossguard has an S shape construction. The celluloid grip is set with gilt brass fittings. The scabbard is leather covered and complete with upper, center, and lower gilt fittings with two suspension rings. The upper fitting has an engraved anchor to one side and an engraved sailing boat to the other. Was used as a part of the navy parade uniform at the end of the Cold War.
