Oil on canvas painting. After Harry Roseland, 1867 to 1950, an American genre artist known primarily for paintings centered on poor African-Americans. One of his most popular subjects were his paintings of black women fortune tellers who read the palms and tea leaves of white women clients. This lot represents such a scene. Illegibly signed and dated 1961 in the lower right. Wooden frame. Collectible Fine Art, Americana.
