A vintage mid century West German automaton singing bird music box with a textured, woven pattern adorned with rose flower motif trim. In the center of the lid is an oval transferware panel with an image depicting a Rococo style scene with a group of people and animals in a landscape. The panel is surrounded by a rose flower motif rim. The lid features a singing red and black bird with moving wings on a decorative ornate base. The box stands on small, rounded feet. There is a clockwork mechanism on the bottom of the box. Marked on the bottom: Made in West Germany. Circa 1950.
