Tempera on textile painting mounted to board. Attributed to Jamini Roy, 1887 to 1972, an Indian artist, one of the most famous pupils of Abanindranath Tagore. The artwork depicts a portrait of a seated young woman. Signature flattened-out style influenced by the Indian bazaar paintings. Signed in the lower right. Undated. White mat, wooden frame. Collectible Mid Century Fine Art, Southeast Asian Artists.
