Linocut on paper by Augustine Tschinkel, 1905 to 1983, a Czech artist active with the Figurative Constructivist art movement. The artwork is a critique of capitalism. It depicts pictographic miners and the owner of the mine on top. Limited edition. Titled Kohle - Kohlebaron, Coal Miners - Coal Baron. Signed by the artist in the lower right. Provenance: acquired from Galerie Glockner, Koln, Germany. Print of the late edition from the Active Graphics portfolio, published by Werner Kunze, Berlin, 1972. White mat.
