An antique Irish brass Guard officer badge during the Napoleonic War era or the War of 1812. The badge has an irregular shape, with angled corners engraved with IRISH GUARDS in bold lettering, as well as the number 2716063 and the name W. JOHNSTONE. Above this inscription is a raised, star shaped emblem with a circular center. A small hole is visible at the top of the badge, likely for attachment. The badge is presented on a dark background under the glass protection and framed. There is a cut window at the back where we can see the back of the badge with word DUTY.
