An antique late 18th to early 19th-century Scottish military Highland basket-hilted broadsword. Steel blade with two double-sided blood grooves. Makers mark with crown and another stamp with king crown S2 Regiment are on the blade by the crossguard. Also, the blade features a hand-chiseled museum code. Basket handle is made from brass decorated with pierced hearts. The handle grip is covered with leather and twisted metal cord. Sword end finial represents a ball with helmet like grooves style.
