An early 18th-century Scottish military basket-hilted broadsword from a noble family. Straight steel blade with one double-sided blood groove. The handle has a basket-type guard in German silver, engraved with Scottish-type thistle plants. The sword is set with an early-type faceted crystal-like sapphire stone which is mounted in Scottish style thistle leaves. Handle grip is made of natural materials. Total Weight: 1130 grams.
