Oil on canvas painting, after the 1816 artwork titled Portrait of Etienne Maurice Gerard by Jacques-Louis David, 1748 to 1825, a French Neoclassical artist. The piece is a full-length ceremonial male portrait in interior scenery. Signed by the artist in the lower right, P. Noland. Golden frame. Etienne Maurice Gerard, 1773 to 1852, was a distinguished French general and statesman who served under a succession of French governments. The original painting was executed during the Second Bourbon Restoration. It is now in the collection of the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Collectible Fine Art, Portraiture.
