An antique French Empire manner crystal glass box with classical gilt bronze mounts. The exterior of the ware is adorned with Ancient Olympic Games scenes gilt bronze mounts representing a chariot rider, a heraldic symbol with an eagle on the sides, and a Goddess on the backside. A cover is adorned with gilt bronze overlays representing a wreath with an eagle in the center, and a pair of ladies on the sides. The borders are decorated with an engraved foliage pattern.
