A fine pair of Japanese Meiji period vases from the late 19th century. Each vase is decorated with cloisonne enamel, with scenes depicting Hoho birds and flowers on sides and decorated with a pattern of flowers and gilt details on a dark blue enamel ground. The neck of each vase has a wave like shape, decorated with a red and gilt pattern inside. Decorated with goldstone inlays.
