A grand tour bronze statuette of The Neapolitan fisherman after the antique found at Pompeii in the Casa della Fontana Piccolo, House of the Little Fountain, first excavated in 1823 and is now in the Archeological Museum in Naples Italian, circa the mid 19th century. It depicts a fisherman sitting on a stump, dressed in a toga, Roman clothes, and a cap. The stump is decorated with a shield featuring a relief Bacchus mask.
