Chana Orloff was a French artist of Jewish origin, portrait sculptor, draftsman and engraver. In 1916 together with Matisse, Rouault and van Dongen, she was exhibited at the Bernheim Gallery. Hana Orlovas style absorbed elements of cubism, expressionism and realism, which is explained by the influence of quite a variety of plastic masters on her: from Modigliani to Bourdelle and Despio.
