A pair of antique French faience Japonisme vases decorated in a Satsuma porcelain style, the recto side is adorned with a pictorial design depicting a parrot and an ivy stem, the verso side shows an ivy stem and a butterfly. The sides and bases are adorned with beautifully detailed floral patterns on a deep burgundy ground. Each vase is flanked by two gold painted handles. Numbered on the bottom, apparently unmarked.
