Lot 0262: ANTIQUE FRENCH GLAZED FAIENCE GILT BRONZE VASES

41 reviews

A pair of antique French vases. Crafted in a baluster shape, each vase features two handles that add a touch of grace to the overall design. The vases are adorned with iridescent glazed faience, showcasing a lustrous finish that enhances their aesthetic appeal. The neoclassical gilt bronze mounts, featuring two figures on each vase, further elevate the pieces beauty and reflect the artistic sophistication of the era. Loose of gilt on handles. Glued bronze ring to the faience body, as seen on the bottom. No visible cracks or repairs on the body. At the inner bottom of the main bodies, inside, not easy to notice to the general viewer, there are round irregular spots that we believe are the strengthening screws used for attaching firmly Body and Foot. Not a damage, just a construction detail. Overall the condition is very good to excellent considering the age of the item. Circa the late 19th century. Antique French Faience Vases For Collectors.
