Albert Edward Jones, English, 1878 - 1954, an antique set comprising a serving tray and a pair of matching vases in Arts and Crafts style made of hand hammered copper and adorned with applied sterling silver motifs. Each piece is marked on the bottom. Early 20th century, circa 1920s. Albert Edward Jones was an English silversmith and designer. Jones trained at the Birmingham School of Art under Edward R. Taylor and was for a period a Guildsman of the Birmingham Guild of Handicraft. He founded A. E. Jones and Co. in 1902. He was one of the most notable silversmiths of the 19th century, with his work being synonymous with the Arts and Crafts movement.
