A fine and rare Chinese Ming dynasty style iron red and white porcelain double-gourd shape vase. Skilfully potted with a larger globular bulb sweeping up to a smaller upper bulb. The lower globular bulb is hand painted with an iron-red underglaze image of a phoenix bird and bears a six-character Xuande period mark, 1426-1435.
