A pair of high quality Japanese Meiji period cloisonne enamel vases, each of a globular form with a short flared neck with an everted rim, decorated with stylized floral patterns and featuring three goldstone ground roundels with cloisonne enamel images of a three-clawed dragon, phoenix birds and flying sparrows. The neck is adorned with butterflies. Attributed to Honda Yasaburo, active circa 1870s - 1910. Bears Sothebys auction house paper labels attached to the bottom.
