An antique Japanese gilt copper lidded jar with cloisonne enamel design. Late Meiji period, before 1912. Rounded shape with pronounced base. Blue ground color. The piece is decorated with a crane bird motif. Globe finial on top of the lid. Presumably a work of Hayashi Kodenji, 1831 to 1915, a Japanese cloisonne artist. High quality.
