An antique Japanese gilt copper lidded jar with cloisonne enamel design. Early Meiji period, after 1868. Upright ovoid shape. Turquoise blue ground color. Butterfly motif and patterned borders. Globe finial on top of the lid. Presumably a work of Goto Seizaburo, active ca. 1870s to 1880s, a Japanese cloisonne artist.
