A fine quality large antique Japanese polychrome enameled porcelain Amitabha Buddha figurine. The Amida Buddha is depicted sitting in a lotus position. With his hands, he performs the Dhyana Mudra gesture in the Japanese variation of Mida no Join. Hand painted and accented with gilding. Unmarked. Meiji period, 1868 to 1912.
