An antique Japanese, late Meiji era, enamel over copper plate or tray. The ware is adorned with a polychrome enamel image of a bird in blossoming flowers on the turquoise ground made in the Cloisonne technique. The border of the plate is decorated with a foliage pattern made in the same technique. The backside is decorated with a foliate scroll ornament made in the Cloisonne technique. Unmarked.
