An antique Japanese, late Meiji era, enamel over gilt copper charger plate. The plate is adorned with a polychrome image of birds in blossoming Chrysanthemum flowers on the turquoise ground made in the Cloisonne technique. The border features traditional foliage, and geometrical motifs made in the same technique. The backside is decorated with a swirl motif made in the Cloisonne technique. A hanging mechanism is on the backside. Unmarked. Circa: the late 19th to the early 20th century.
