An antique early XX Century Japanese Taisho era silvered bronze statues, Ebisu And A Daikoku gods. Folk Shinto Religious Art most probably for domestic shrines. The main attributes of Ebisu, the God of Fishing, are a fishing rod in the right hand and a large red bream or snapper, which rests under the deity's left hand. In Japan, these fish symbolize good luck. Second item is a figure of Daikoku depicted as a stout old man, carrying a wish-granting mallet in his right hand, a bag of precious things slung over his back, and sitting on two rice bags. Daikoku is one of the Seven Gods of Luck, the god of wealth and guardian of farmers.
