A pair of antique late 19th-century fine gilt bronze candlesticks. The pieces are garnished with embossed floral decor. Marked Alph Giroux Paris on the candle holders, AR on the bottom. Francois-Simon-Alphonse Giroux, 1776 to 1848, was a French art restorer. He established an antiques shop around 1799. Then the business passed to his sons, the family workshop was active until 1885.
