An antique Japanese Meiji era figural bronze candle holder. The candle holder is made in a shape of a seated Oni Demon holding a bowl on a hand. The exterior of the bowl is adorned with an engraved image of a rural village landscape. The borders are decorated with engraved floral and traditional Greek motifs. The base of the bowl features an engraved dragon ornament. Mounted on an oval shaped base. Circa: late 19th century to the early 20th century.
