The handles feature an engraved Reichsmarschall Hermann Goerings family crest, a shield with a mailled arm holding a ring. The set comes in original box. Hermann Wilhelm Goering, 1893 to 1946, was a German politician and leader of the Nazi Party, a patron of arts and culture. He is known to have had a large collection of silverware and cutlery.
