Lot 0566: 1935 AMERICAN 1 DOLLAR SILVER CERTIFICATE HAWAII BANKNOTES

41 reviews

Two 1935 American 1 dollar silver certificate banknotes. The obverse side of the note features a portrait of George Washington, the first President of the United States, along with the inscription and the brown seal. The reverse side of the note displays the Great Seal of the United States, surrounded by ornate designs and patterns. The Brown Seal stands out against the green backdrop, making it a distinctive feature of this particular series. What sets this Silver Certificate apart is the Hawaii overprint, a unique addition resulting from the fear of a Japanese invasion during World War II. Vintage American Paper Money And Notaphilic Collectibles.
