A Russian Imperial officer badge of the 25th Infantry Smolensk Regiment featuring a silver crowned wreath with gilt monograms of Peter I and Nicholas II. On the bottom of the wreath are crossed rifles and a sword with an officers and soldiers shoulder boards with the number 7 which was the number of the division to which the regiment belonged. Hallmarked with the 84 silver proof mark. Holds a screw back. Was instituted on September 23, 1909 to commemorate the regiments 200th anniversary.
