A large antique German Dresden Volkstedt glazed polychrome porcelain figural group. The figural group depicts a Rococo family interior scene with a mother sitting on a sofa and reading a book to two children, all in elaborate 18th century Dresden lace embellished costumes. Mounted on an oval shaped rocaille base, adorned with gilding and a scrollwork motif. Circa: early 20th century. Marked with blue ink manufacturer stamps, an imprinted stamp, 1915, under the base.
