A fine pair of Japanese Meiji period vases from the late 19th century. Each vase is decorated with cloisonne enamel over a silver wire, with scenes depicting a sparrow flying amongst blossoming cherry branches over beautifully detailed irises and other flowers on dark cobalt blue enamel ground.
