A patinated bronze sculpture, cast by Ferdinand Barbedienne, 1810 to 1892, a French metalworker and manufacturer, after Antoine-Louis Barye. The artwork represents a lying lioness. Marked Barye and F. Barbedienne on the bottom. The figurine is mounted on a stone pedestal. Antoine-Louis Barye, 1795 to 1875, was a French sculptor of animals.
