An antique US Civil War Model 1860 light cavalry saber. The sword holds a slightly curved steel blade with a steel blade featuring flat back with narrow and wide fullers, a brass hilt with remnants of leather grip bound in brass wire. Marked on the blade ricasso. Manufactured by Mansfield and Lamb, Forestdale, R.I. Dated 1863. Comes with the original all steel curved scabbard complete with both mounting rings.
