A superb Russian silver gilt and guilloche enamel cigar case. The cobalt tube is composed of body and lid, the exterior is decorated with raised Empire style motifs, a relief overlay depicting the double monogram of Emperor Nicholas II and Empress Alexandra, and set with a ruby cabochon on the top of the lid. Hallmarked with an 88th silver standard next to a female head in a kokoshnik turned to the right and other Russian hallmarks. Weight: 226 g.
