A collection of six antique Japanese figural mixed metal Menuki. The pieces are adorned with gold gilding overlay, embossing and etching. The richness and excellency of craftsmanship unite silver, bronze, copper and gold layering in a masterpiece miniature artwork. The Menuki depict Noh Theatre masks, plate with Samurai portraits, Japanese generals and warriors, a child, and others. Several with pins on the back. Circa: 19th to early 20th century. Menuki are a pair of small ornaments under the handle of a Japanese sword placed on opposite sides of the handle.
