An antique Japanese Meiji Period set of a tobacco purse, a pipe, and a pipe case. The purse are made of brown leather. A wooden case with a metal and wooden pipe inside. The purse is adorned with a gilt mixed metal Menuki fitting in the shape of a tiger. The Menuki fitting is marked with an impressed stamp on the back. The purse and the case are joined with a rope. Circa: 19th to early 20th century. Menuki is a kind of metal fitting of the Japanese sword, which was initially put into the hole of the handle.
