An antique 1923 Art Deco table lamp manufactured by L.V. Aronson's Art Metal Works in Newark, New Jersey. The lamp is made of spelter metal and executed in the form of a mummy sarcophagus covered with polychrome Egyptian hieroglyphs. The sarcophagus opens to view a gilded metal figure of a nude woman with her arms crossed in a traditional Egyptian mummy casket.
