A handwritten letter in blue ink on two sheets of paper from Helmutt Reymann to Mr. Bumball, dated 22.8.61. Hellmuth Reymann, 1892 to 1988, was an officer in the German Army during World War II. He was one of the last commanders of the Berlin Defence Area during the final assault by Soviet forces on Berlin. Note: provenance is from an American businessman who worked in the immediate years after WWII on the reconstruction of Germany and became a collector of Nazi paraphernalia.
