Lot 402 - HAND CARVED AND PAINTED WOOD ROCKING HORSE TOY

An antique rocking horse featuring a hand carved wooden body mounted on traditional curved bow rockers. The figure is finished in a distressed polychrome paint, suggesting a dapple grey or cream coat, with a sculpted head. It retains elements of its original leather saddlery, including a padded seat and metal stirrups, though the horsehair mane and tail show significant thinning. The base consists of two parallel wooden rockers joined by cross stretchers. Circa: late 19th to early 20th century.
