Signed and dated 1904 lower right. Unframed. Jose Lupianez Y Carrasco studied at the School of Painting, Sculpture and Engraving of San Fernando in Madrid. His was largely influenced by the paintings of Carlos de Haes, especially in the choice of subjects, almost always solitary landscapes with hardly any constructions or human figures.
