Lot 113 - AMERICAN CIVIL WAR CARTRIDGE BOX WITH PORTRAITS

An American Civil War era cartridge box, constructed from heavy black leather and features an oval brass SNY plate affixed to the exterior flap. The interior of the flap is stamped with the makers mark. Accompanying the pouch is a wide tan leather shoulder strap secured by two metal buckles. Within the interior pockets are two period tintype male portraits. The piece retains its original leather closure tab and internal dividers.
