Signed in the plate and pencil, and dated 69, lower right. Numbered 3 of 150, lower left. The second: an ink wash painting on paper depicting a genre scene in a landscape by John H. Chen, a Taiwanese born Chinese painter and educator born in 1939 in Taipei, Taiwan. He is best known for developing and practicing Oo Siang Art, formless art, a philosophy that blends traditional Chinese ink wash techniques with modern acrylic and oil paints on handmade rice paper to achieve harmony between humanity and nature.
