Lot 548 - LOT OF ANCIENT BYZANTINE EMPIRE BRONZE FOLLIS COINS

A lot of two ancient Byzantine Empire coins. The first: an ancient Byzantine Empire bronze coin. Circa 565 to 578 AD. This coin dates back to the joint reign of Justin II and his wife Sophia. The obverse of the coin depicts a double portrait of the co rulers. The reverse depicts a large letter M and lettering. The second: an ancient Byzantine 1/2 Follis, also known as a Half Follis or Semissis, minted during the reign of Emperor Maurice Tiberius, 582 to 602 AD. Mint: Antioch. Obverse: The image shows the crowned bust of Maurice Tiberius facing forward. He is dressed in consular robes, holding the mappa and an eagle-tipped scepter. Reverse: Features a large K representing the denomination. Above the K is a cross, and the word ANNO appears on the left with XIII on the right. Both are presented with a paper.
