Lot 533 - PAIR OF 18TH CEN ZURICH PORCELAIN CUPS AND SAUCERS

A pair of hard paste porcelain cups and saucers originated from the Zurich factory during the late 18th century, featuring finely executed polychrome enamel decoration. Each cup depicts a unique genre scene of figures in a landscape, including seated male figures and a scene with a mother and a child and a traveler, while the reverse and saucers are adorned with vibrant floral sprays in the Deutsche Blumen style. The pieces are finished with gilded rims and scroll handles, and the undersides bear the characteristic underglaze blue Z mark alongside various incised and painted numerals.
